WHICH GOD DID YOU SERVE
Bless you dear brothers and sisters in the Lord all around the world.I bless you in the name of the father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. May the peace of the Lord be with you and may the love of God never depart from you.
Brethren you know as a believer we cannot serve two gods and be truly devouted to the two,is either you are loyal and truthful to one and disloyal and untruthful to the other. Is either we do the will and desire of one and don’t care about the will and desire of the other.We cannot please two masters in our heart, we cannot have a divided heart to serve the Lord. We must make up our mind to which god we want to be devoted to and does is will. Is either we obey the God of light or we please the gods of these dark world. We must choose.
Many people desire to serve the Lord, the true God and be loyal to him with all there heart,even some already assure themselves that they are perfectly serving the Lord well. But the main concern is this did the Lord accept the our service? Does it please his Spirit? Know this, everyone sees himself or herself rightoeus in his own sight, everyone believe that there ways are perfect.
In the book of James 4:4 the word of the Lord says “You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.”
Many people love the Lord but at the same time love the worldly life we live in. They love and enjoying the pleasure of this world, they are followers of Christ, but there heart is inclined to the ways of this world. they love and desire to be called a children of light but there mind and heart is filled with the world life and pleasure of sin. Jesus said where your heart is, there your treasure will be also.They are divided in there heart and dont know which god exactly do they belong to.
But the Lord cannot accept us in this way.We must make up our mind to be truthful and devoted to the True God and let go of the pleasure and deceitefulness of this world.
If we continue in this kind of divided heart and mind to the Lord and refuse to recognise that the Living God does not accept unstable mind and heart, then we make a fool of ourself before God and his angels. Then our hope of eternal life is at a great risk.
I Pay that may the Light of God shine in your heart as we are preparing to enter a new year. May the good Lord helps you to make a choice to forsake the way of this dark world and cling on to the way of God alone.
