AFFLICTIONS
Affliction comes in one’s life or in a believer’s life in order to help him to realize his stand in the Lord either as a strong believer or a weak believer. And often a time, when we are face with afflictions, we cast blames on our environments, on the people that surround us, on God and his people and many more.
And we believe, that is because we make up our mind to serve the Lord that is why we are bombard with afflictions, and in that case, we are looking for a way out and return back to the world again. Then we think and convince that, that would be a solution to the problems we are facing.
Biblically, God describe affliction in order to test our faith in him, our courage, our stands and our devotion to the Holy Spirit and order to test who we claim we are in the Lord.
God said in the book of Ezekiel 21:13 “Testing will surely come…….”
It is not easy to go through affliction and that is why God brings it to our life. He design it to help us to grow in him, to become strong in him, to overcome problems without casting blames on anyone or God.
For He wants to know how do we handle situations that looks rough, how do we handle our environment that everyone hates us for whom we are without reason, how do we handle our financial situation when we keep on borrowing and we call ourselves a child of God.
How do we bring the family together when they are broken apart, how do we stay persistent in our prayer and in our devotion to the Lord when everything is fallen apart. These are the things that God looks at when we are faced with afflictions.
As a believer in Christ Jesus, when you overcome all these challenges, it makes you worthy of God’s kingdom and qualified you as a true child of God that can brings hope for the hopeless, and be a source of strength for the weak because you had once go through all these trials and overcome them and the Lord will count you worthy of his own.
That is why God brings all these challenges to see whether we will be able to carry his cross and walk with him every day or we will leave it behind and return back to the world in our mind.
Those who overcome great afflictions remain stand in the Lord forever and never fall while those who do not persistent and run away and cast blames are not worthy of Christ and his kingdom.
Bible said in the book of psalm 34:19 “Many are the afflictions of the righteous; but the Lord delivers him out of them all….”
May the peace of the Lord guides you and strengthens you and help you to know that afflictions are not meant to destroy you but to help you to grow in the Lord and qualified you as a child of God.
May the peace of the Lord be with you all.
COME TO GOD AND HE WOULD GIVE YOU REST OF MIND
Jesus said come to me all ye that were heavily labor and I would give you rest. The Lord is not talking about the rest of the body or of the midday relaxing, but what the Lord is saying here is that we should come to him with all our heart, that He would gives our Spirit, Soul and body divine internal rest.
Many people think that they can find Joy in this world without Christ involvement in their life, they think they can make all things to be under their control, they struggle with themselves, and fight with their inner mind to work things out perfectly, but sooner than later, they realize that things had begin to fall apart.
Dear brethren in Christ, No one can put all things under his or her control perfectly without any disappointment except the only person our savior Lord Jesus Christ. Our qualification and what we know and had acquired in life only deceives us to rely on our strength, but they soon fails us.
There is no peace or fullness of joy on this earth to those whose ways are not in accordance with the way of the Lord of Heaven. There is no amount of calculation or study that can produce internal peace within a human being unless in Christ, Bible said in Christ is all the fullness of God dwells in bodily form.
Which means whatever it may be whether things of this world or the things that is not of this world, peace and joy can only be found in Christ? For God had put everything under Christ control.
We can only find rest for our life on this world and after this world, only if we can humbly allow the Spirit of Christ to dwell in our inner spirit and allows him to be in control of our life for the glory of God.
Our wealth, our family, our education and whatever we may have gotten on this world cannot and can never give us a peace of mind that last forever. It’s only temporary but not for ever.
Only the peace of God that surpasses human understanding can last and sustain us in every situation that comes on our way.
I urge today to give your inner heart to Christ so that God may rule your heart and give you a total rest of mind.
God bless you.
PRAYER
Prayers is a gift to you as a privilege. The gift is offered to all the children of God.The great power of prayer is least exercised by the average believers. While many believers in Christ has abandon the gift of prayer.
As a devoted believer, you will do well to learn the act of warfare prayer. The present level of the prayer of many Christians need to rise if they expect serious breakthrough.Bible assured us that the fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.Prayer is the only way to communicate with God. We are weak and powerless without prayer. And Satan overcome us in every way.
In righteousness you will be established, Tyranny will be far from you;Terror will be far removed, it will not come near you.(Isaiah 54:14)

What does it mean to be oppressed? 1. To be oppressed means to be put under subjection by a force stronger than you are.
2. It means to be tortured by certain forces that are beyond your control.
3. Oppressed is not only experiencing physically,it could be psychological, financial marital, educational and most importantly spiritual. For a person to be under oppression physically, the oppression must have been planted spiritually.
Nothing can come into manifestation unless it has been accomplished in the spirit.
